I offer the basic appliances used in the orthodontic office:

  • Hawley retainers
  • phase one Hawley
  • anterior and/or posterior bite plate
  • Schwart appliance
  • fixed expansion appliances
  • quad-helix
  • lower lingual arch wires
  • band & loop
  • flippers

Hensley design only uses custom formed adams clasps. The retention is far superior to the pre-fab clasps, and has longer arms that hug the bell of the tooth to allow for easier adjustments as needed during treatment.

The phase one labial bow is very useful in early treatment debonds. It holds the laterals in, while giving you control to guide the cuspids as they erupt.

One form of retention I use is a specialized arrow anchor. The unique shape of the anchor fits nicely into the interproximal contours of the posteriors, and is recommended when additional retention is needed.

Fixed expansion appliances will be sent with a locking safety expansion key. The key locks into place making it less likely that the expansion screw will "back up" when the key is removed.
